Examinations
Examinations are an essential part of the process to achieving Certification and Registration through the Residency and Internship pathways. Additional exams and materials may be required for Foreign Trained applicants. Written Exam
Written exams, a prerequisite to Practical exams, are offered twice per year in all Certified and Registered Disciplines. Practical Exam
Practical exams are offered once per year for Certification (Spring) and Registered (Fall). Exam Materials

Residents and Interns are eligible to challenge the online written exam (completed virtually) in their discipline at any time the exam is being held by OPC, as long as they are a member in good standing with the association. Completion
of the online written exam is a required step in the pathways to both Certification and Registration and a prerequisite to challenging the Practical Exam.

If you require accommodation for a physical or learning disability, or you need to register a medically necessary device, a written request with supporting documentation must be submitted to OPC National office following registration. Any questions or concerns can be directed to exams@opcanada.ca. Residents and Interns are eligible to challenge the practical exam in their discipline once all Residency/Internship hours are completed and the candidate has passed the written exam. ABC certified practitioners should refer to the application
process and policies stated here. Completion of the practical exam is the final step in the pathways to both Certification and Registration.
