Certified Prosthetist - temporary full-time
Do you have a passion for working with patients of all ages with special needs? Island Health is seeking a temporary full-time Certified Prosthetist at the Queen Alexandra Centre.
Utilizing a client-centred approach and working within the context of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide and manage comprehensive Prosthetic care based upon a clinical assessment and physicians' prescription. You will also supervise Technicians and monitor the achievement of service objectives within area of responsibility and adhere to established budgetary guidelines. Travel may be a requirement of this position.
In addition to certification by the Canadian Board of Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO) in good standing, you are eligible for membership in the Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC). At least two years of recent experience in Prosthetic assessment and design for children and adults with multiple handicaps, is essential, as is one year of supervisory experience.
