Manager and Certified Orthotist

The Children’s Orthotics Clinic (TCOC) is seeking a Clinical Manager to lead our highly skilled team of certified orthotists, technicians and administration staff. From evaluation and design to creating custom orthotic devices in our on-site manufacturing facility, TCOC is committed to enhancing the lives and function of children and their families.

As the Manager of TCOC, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of service and production of orthotic devices at The Hospital for Sick Children. In addition to providing leadership to the team, you will take on the role of communication liaison between members of the multi-disciplinary team both at SickKids and external community partners. You will also facilitate the coordination of a comprehensive range of activities, including oversight of business operations within the department.

As a leader, role model and coach, you will assist staff with professional development and achievement of program goals. You will also be responsible for our partnership with George Brown College. You will take a long-range view of operations and patient service delivery and be directly responsible for quality care processes including leadership in implementing change.

The Manager of TCOC’s time will be split between business operations and people management, while allowing the successful candidate to maintain flexible direct patient care as a certified orthotist.
