Do you have a passion for working with children and adults with special needs? Island Health is seeking a full-time Certified Orthotist at the Queen Alexandra Centre.
In this role, utilizing a client-centred approach and working within the context of a multidisciplinary team, you provide and manage comprehensive orthotic care based upon a clinical assessment and physicians’ prescription.
You will supervise technicians, monitor the achievement of service objectives within the area of responsibility and adhere to established budgetary guidelines.
Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate.
You will have your certification by the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO) in good standing. Along with two years of recent, related experience in Orthotic assessment and design for children and adults with multiple handicaps, you are eligible for membership with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC). A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
One year of supervisory experience and attendance at relevant workshops, seminars and demonstrations is considered an asset.
