Fraser Valley Prosthetics Ltd, an established, private prosthetics facility based in Abbotsford, BC, has a full-time opening for a C.P. (c) / C.P.O. (c). Abbotsford is close to beautiful golf courses, mountains for skiing and hiking, along with lakes for camping, boating and fishing. (c) joining our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the evaluation, Rx formulation and fitting of prostheses suited to each patient’s individual needs. Patients range in age from 3 to 90 years and our team is committed to helping them achieve independence once again. Our company motto is “Enhancing Independence“. In this rewarding role, specifically, you will:

  • Examine and evaluate patient’s needs in relation to their functional loss
  • Repair, rebuild, modify prosthetic appliances
  • Treat all patients and staff with a high level of respect and care
  • Partner with our lab technician to formulate the design, layout, and materials etc., needed to fabricate the required device
  • Provide detailed clinical notes and maintain medical documentation according to regulations and company requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance professional relationships
  • Adhere to safety regulations
  • Update skills and knowledge by attending conferences and seminars
  • Perform other duties as required

In order to be successful in the role, candidates that apply must possess:

  • Must be a certified prosthetist and/or C.P.O
  • Strong clinical skills
  • A solid work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and compassion for clients and their needs
  • Have reliable transportation
