Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative individual for the position of Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. While working in this role, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care, while designing, engineering and fabricating all orthotic devices for individuals with major musculoskeletal impairments. You will also design and engineer all prosthetic devices for individuals with upper and/or lower extremity amputations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological Science field (e.g.  Kinesiology, Nursing, Biomechanics, Biology, or Engineering) from an accredited university. A minimum of a two (2) year specialization in a clinical program from a Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO) accredited college and current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the CBCPO, Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists(CAPO), and their respective provincial association is also required. Preference will be given to candidates who possess six (6) months of relevant experience.
