The Hodgson Orthopedic Group provides custom prosthetic and orthotic treatment for patients in the Greater Vancouver area. Our staff pursue creative solutions to unique challenges. Position Summary: We are searching for a motivated team player to join our Hodgson team. You will be working in a collaborative environment to support our patients in the provision of care requiring prosthetic treatments. If you love helping people, this job is for you. The successful candidate will also be IT-literate and comfortable navigating our digital platforms within clinic operations.

 

Must have requirements:

● Deliver top-quality prosthetic treatments, professional services, and patient services in a team environment

● Manage comprehensive prosthetic patient care, including patient assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, follow-up and practice management

● Provide complete and accurate direction and guidance to technicians responsible for fabrication of prostheses for patients

● Perform basic fabrication as needed to assure quality, fit, function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient needs

● Perform fittings, including static and dynamic alignments

● Evaluate prosthetic patients, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work and perform outcome measures as appropriate

● Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients

● Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities

● Maintenance of all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete in a timely manner

● Achieve and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes current "state-of-the-art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis.

● Identify and create improvements to processes to promote efficiency and productivity

● Communicate with other medical professionals regarding patient care

● Effective written and verbal communication skills

● Able to solve problems and facilitate resolutions with all levels of staff

● Able to work effectively with a variety of people including patients, physicians, physiotherapists, nurses and technicians

● Market the organization's professional services through the development of strong professional relationships with physicians, therapists, patients, and other referral sources

● Patience, empathy and the ability to motivate and encourage patients while providing excellence in patient care

 

Educational Requirements:

● Certified Prosthetist CP (c) or Prosthetic Resident
